An engineer who went against the current.
“Vấp cục đá, té sấp mặt, rồi ngẩng đầu lên mới tìm ra chân lý.”
I stumbled on a rock and fell flat on my face. Only when I looked up again did I find the truth.
Hồ Phúc Nguyên
Engineer · Founder & CEO, Bacte
When most companies in the sector were building contract-manufacturing plants, engineer Hồ Phúc Nguyên made a different choice: own the core technology, and pay for it with his own money.
He took the research through state programmes and stood before the Scientific Council, but never leaned on them. Along the way the product changed about 20 times: the formula, the packaging, the name, the partners, the plant.
What never changed was who it was for: growers who fear toxic chemicals, want to move to biological solutions, and still need something that works.

The technology then went on national television. All five Sharks put their names behind Bacte, a sign that this is a biotech that already sells, not a lab project waiting for a market.

Today he brings that owned, market-tested IP to SWITCH, not to sell a bottle, but to invite partners to build on it.
